Some people might remember when CarrieRawks.com was a online radio station! The super craptastic picture you see is of me at my last radio show I did. (Thanks to Nate for the antlers & what we call the “Babushka fur hat of doom”…made me feel HAWT!) Some quick factoids…I was one of the first people to bring HIM nights to online radio, and helped (not just by myself mind you) bring Finland’s great rock groups like HIM, Private Line, The 69 Eyes and more to the attention of music starved people on the internet. And believe me I had a ton of fun doing it, while also doing my regular rawk show on The Mixx and on this site at weird times. But now I bet you are wondering how it all ended? A few months ago my computer blew up to high heaven. And I didn’t even get to have all the cool pyrotechnics….that would have been nice…in a way. LOL With the blowing up of my computer…ALL my music that I had bought and my programs have been destroyed! It was a very sad day, and now that I look back at the whole situation…I could cry. It almost felt as if I had lost a close friend. Enough with the emo! Currently I am trying like hell to save up for a new system. (Pssst if you want to donate some dough click here…christmas is coming up ya know *winks*) And then maybe someday I can get back into what I love so much which is playing music for people to get into and/or just rawk people out! Something like that.
Though rawking out people might be dead for me , there are people out there still bringing the rawk to the online “air waves” one of them that I listen to when I get the chance is Euro-Rock Radio you can check out their show times to see where to catch the show. Usually I just go to RengadeRadio.net to get my RAWK on, since they have some other shows to choose from there also.
Euro-Rock Radio has a lot of great things going on from interviews with Ville Valo of HIM to HIM night and now I hear a 69 Eyes night will be happening! You can hear the interview with Ville in the player below by pressing the play button.

I’m part of a wonderful online community over at Music Savvy Mom. You should submit a guest dj shuffle…..we need more RAWK! and metalheads! And you don’t have to be a mom, or even a blogger to submit, you just have to love music and turning new people on to the stuff you love, or finding kindred spirits who already do :)
