Ah cute little Frodo! Who cannot fall in love with that character, especially since the movies came out and brought him to the screen? (Yes I am a hobbit lover…all hail furry toes!) You might be wondering why I am writing about such a “geeky” subject. Honestly I love the Lord Of The Rings movies & books. I had found a couple books in my garage the other day and they were 4 J.R.R. Tolkien books. First one I started on was “The Hobbit”, then of course I had to dive into the rest in order. Right now I am on the 2nd book “The Two Towers” and decided tonight I was going to watch the movies again. Called a friend and grabbed all three movies. I think I will be on the couch quite a long time this week!
I noticed one thing though, that perhaps if I hadn’t started reading the books…the movies would have made no sense at all to me. Kind of like those dreaded Harry Potter movies (no I am not a fan!), I just didn’t get it because I did not read the books and movies cannot hold everything that is written in them usually. Or when made into a movie they become slightly changed perhaps to add a certain flavor or more adventure then the original story held. And as I have watched a few movies that have been made from books I have realized how hard a job it must be for the film makers to pick out certain parts and hope that the people watching will understand what is going on without having the full (and sometimes over long and boring) story told.
I could go way deeper into this, but I am tired and not in the mood exactly, except to say I might have nightmares now due to seeing this on the internet!

Don’t know who created that “Mrs. Gollum” picture, but it is fairly creepy. Goodnight people. :-P

Very cute! Wish I could watch those movies with you…I haven’t seen them in a while! I love them also, and also enjoyed Harry Potter! Hope you have fun! I’ll be messing with your farm…..LOL!
Yeah I am gonna be watching LotR movies like forever and a day! lol Should be fun….or my ass might fall off. Either way I will be a happy geek.
